Leonard Smith I wonder what Dennis and friends learned, if anything, from the experience. Do any of them have the skills to use one today? Probably not. I find sewing machines very intimidating, as nobody bothered to teach me how to use one. (I remind myself of Charlie Brown with his kite when attempting to use one! It isn't long before I get myself all wove up.)
ReplyDeleteLeonard Smith When I was a Boy Scout (60 years ago) I learned many skills, but sewing was not one of them. I was interested to read this contemporary discussion of the possibility of a sewing Merit Badge. Americans have tied this skill to gender stereotypes far too long!
